Smart Label
The ’Smart Label’ menu gives you an overview of all devices registered in your user account, fitting and sorting is facilitated by status and location. Basic device information can be found on the device card.
IN THIS ARTICLE: Smart Label List, Device Card, Smart Label Editor
Smart Label List
Smart label list gathers all registered smart labels within the system. To make search quicker it is very useful to use filters, which can be found above the list of smart label elements:
A: Traslation status: The status is bound to the communication/translation with the device. There are four options available:
- All transactions - display of devices with complete, refreshing and error traslation status.
- Complete - display of devices with confirmed traslaction.
- Refreshing - display of devices where last transaction is being processed and is being refreshed. This status is real-time with a time limit of 5 minutes.
- Error - display of devices with unreachable and/or unsuccessful last transaction.
B: Activity status: Current activity status of the device.
- All activity statuses - display of devices with online and offline activity status.
- Online - display of switched-on devices
- Offline - display of switched-off devices
C: Type of device: Division of smart label devices based on size and type.
- All devices - display of A290 and A430 types of devices.
- A290 - display of A290 devices (smaller size)
- A430 - display of A430 devices (bigger size)
D: Template: Type of assigned templates.
- All templates - display of devices with any type of template.
- Normal - display of devices with normal template assigned.
E: Battery life - The current battery status of the smart label device.
- All battery percentages - display of smart label devices with diverse battery status.
- 100-75% - display of devices with optimal battery percentage.
- 75-50% - display of devices with medium battery level percentage.
- 50-20% - display of devices with low battery level percentage.
- Under 20% - display of devices with critical level of battery percentage
F: Connection stability - Connection stability indication. Four statuses are possible:
- All connection strenghts - display of devices with any type of connection.
- Perfect - display of devices with optimal working connection.
- Standard – display of devices with standard working connection.
- Weak - display of devices with a weak connection stability.
G: Displayed cards - The quantity of cards shown per page can be selected from options of 10, 25, 50, 75, or 100 cards.
Device Card
Cards is the ’Smart Label’ menu provide an overview of all the devices registered in the user account. The basic information about the device can be seen from the device card, which can be expanded by clicking on the card or by clicking on the ’Open’ button ’Open’.
A: Device card: The card shows summary information about the device itself and its configuration. By clicking on the tab, it is possible to expand the graphical display of the data. By clicking on the ’Open’ button it is also possible to configure the device or view detailed information.
B: Device status: The device sends a ’heartbeat’ to the system every 30 seconds. Three statuses are possible:
- Green - the device operates within its intended parameters.
- Red - the device has not sent the expected ’heartbeat’, the device is unresponsive, switched off or is in failure.
- Gray - the device is not registered in the system and therfore the ’heartbeat’ is not checked.
C: Translation status: The status is bound to the communication/translation with the device. There are four possible statuses:
- Complete - all transactions are confirmed.
- Refreshing - the last transaction is being processed and is being refreshed. This status is real-time with a time limit of 5 minutes.
- Error - device was unreachable and/or last transaction was unsuccessful.
- Registered - last transaction.
D: Product: The currently bound product on the device, regardless of the binding method (Product/Planogram).
E: Device: Device model is displayed.
F: Serial number: Unique alphanumeric identifier is displayed here.
G: Location/Venue - The location where the device is physically located.
H: Planogram (A/B/S/P): The exact location of the product on planogram scheme: (A) - Aisle, (B) – Bay, (S) - Shelf, (P) - Position.
I: Template Variant - Current variation of the ’Template’ on the device, displayed regardless of the binding mode (Product/Planogram).
J: Connection stability: Connection stability indication. Four statuses are possible:
- Perfect - the connection works optimally
- Standard - the connection works, no critical errors
- Weak – the signal is in the critical range, the device will work, but speed, data errors and power consumption will be affected
- No Connection -the device is disconnected
K: Battery life: The current battery status is displayed. Depending on the device model, a battery life prediction is shown (Battery life is calculated based on daily data and is only an approximate estimate. Signal strength, air temperature, communication intervals and refresh cycles affect the lifetime).
Smart Label Editor
Clicking on the smart label card provides access to additional information regarding smart label settings. It allows you to edit the smart label settings, preview the current template, and reset the device. At the top of the screen, you can view details such as the type of device, ID, current firmware, MAC number, and more. Further down, you have the option to modify smart label settings.
Below the screen preview, you have the option to customize smart label settings in the input field:
- Change Smart Label: Access the editor for another registered smart label to modify its properties.
- Use planogram: Tick toggle on to enable usage of shelf positions. When the planogram mode is activated the products and devices will no longer be connected directly. The planogram system will bind the products with the shelf positions and this positions will be assigned to the device. The planogram will appear under the screen preview. You can edit position by clicking on the ’Edit Position’ button on the right side of the planogram. The product and template can then only be changed over the planogram position interface.
Some functionalities are tied to the operation of the hardware and can affect battery life and refresh intervals. In the ’Settings’ tab it is possible to set hardware options to to provide the best possible performance of the overall system. Below are some terms related to hardware settings
Communication interval: The communication interval is the key parameter for the response speed of the device and the battery life. Lower intervals result in higher communication speeds and higher battery usage.
Firmaware version: The dialog displays the current version on the device and other compatible versions. The version can be upgraded or downgraded for the device, but not recommended. The system itself upgrade the firmware when needed.
AI power optimisation: The communication interval is calculated based on the use of this device and the working hours of the location. This function is experimental.
High availability: The communication interval is set in high availability mode what means that the device response time is below 5s second from the request to the refresh (when connection stability is ’Perfect’ or ’Standard’).
To set or check alarms or look throught the transaction history, switch to ’Alarms’ and ’History’ tabs.
