Routers
The routers are the central point for networking within the Agitron Connect infrastructure. Through the app, you can effortlessly add routers to your user account in a simple and automated way. Routers can optionally be registered in your user account also without using the application via the Agitron Connect web interface and the user interface on the router itself (see router documentation). Deleting a router is possible when it does not contain any sub-elements (devices). Deleting and editing the configuration of a router is only possible in the Agitron Connect web interface.
A: Add: Here you can add a new router to your user account.
B: Primary status: Shows the status of the router. There are two possible statuses:
- Green – Router is reachable.
- Red – Router is unreachable, unresponsive, switched off or out of order.
C: Secondary status: Displays the status of the router components. There are four possible statuses:
- Healthy Green – The router is reachable, the status of the components is in the green zone.
- Healthy Gray – The router is unreachable while the last state of the components was in the green zone.
- Performance Yellow – Router is reachable, at least one of the components is in the yellow zone (CPU, Memory, Temperature).
- Performance Red – Router is reachable, at least one of the components is in the red zone (CPU, Memory, Temperature).
D: Router overview: All vital data and configuration of the router are displayed.
- Model – Router model and MAC address (for secondary status see previous point C).
- IP – The current IP assigned to the router.
- Location – The current location bound to the router.
- Memory used – Current memory usage, yellow area starts at 75%, red area at 90%. Red area means that the system will slow down due to the increased workload. If the situation does not stabilise within a few hours, contact support.
- CPU Load – Current load; yellow area starts at 75%, red area at 90%. Red zone means that the system will slow down due to the increased workload. If the situation does not stabilise within a few hours contact support.
- CPU Temp – Current temperature; yellow area starts at 70°C, red area at 80°C. Red zone means that the system will slow down due to overheating. If the situation does not stabilise within a few hours, check the fan operation or lower the room temperature (see router documentation).
After clicking on the add button, you will be taken to a “Wizard“ that guides you through the process of registering a new router. Router can be added automatically in two ways; via the local area network (LAN) to which the router is connected or via the built-in BLE module. In both cases, a successful registration requires an internet connection to the Agitron Connect infrastructure (Private or Public Cloud; see the router documentation for the specifications required to set up the firewall). The options available for registration depend on the router model.
A: Network discover: Clicking on this option will display all unregistered routers found within the network. In case the application does not find the desired router, check if the router is switched on and if it is located in the same LAN network as your device. Once the app detects your router (in case more than one router is found, check the router physically via the MAC address), select it and click on the “Register Router” button.
B: Router BLE: Before clicking this option, connect the router to the AC power supply. Connect it to your LAN network running with Internet access. After clicking the button, the application will detect your router. Click on the “Register Router” button.
C: Location/Venue: Displays the status of the router components.
- Performance Red – Before registering the router, you need to select the location to which you want to bind the router. In case you do not have the desired location added, see section 5.1.
A: Router registration in progress: Router registration in progress: the router registration process is ongoing. Depending on the router model, the process can take from a few seconds up to few minutes. After the process is complete, you will see a message indicating the success of the process or a printout of the error that occurred during the registration process.
B: Router registration successful: The router registration process was successful. The router has restarted and is connected to your Agitron Connect user account.
C: Error: No connection: An error occurred during the registration process. The router was unable to connect to your Agitron Connect user account. Check. network configuration and Internet access (see the router documentation for the specifications needed to set up the firewall).
