Devices
The “Devices” tab gives you an overview of all the devices registered in your user account. The basic device information can be seen in the device card itself, and you can expand the card for each device by clicking on it. Additionally, it is possible to view the device in more detail or to change the configuration by clicking on the “Edit” button.
A: Add: Here you can add/register a new device to your user account (see section 4.2).
B: Locations: Use the drop-down menu to filter the current locations displayed and the devices registered at that location.
C: Device status: The status of the device is displayed. The device sends a “heartbeat” to the system every 30 seconds. Three statuses are possible:
- Green – The device is working within the intended parameters.
- Red – The device has not sent the expected “heartbeat”, the device is not responding, is switched off or is malfunctioning.
- Gray – The device is not registered in the system and is not checked for a “heartbeat”.
D: Translation/communication status: The status is related to the communication/transmission with the device. There are four possible statuses:
- Complete – All transactions are confirmed.
- Refreshing – The last transaction is being processed, currently being refreshed. This status has a real-time time limit of 5 minutes.
- Error – Device unreachable and/or last transaction failed.
- Registered – Last transaction.
E: Card: This card shows a summary of the device itself and its configuration. By clicking on the tab it is possible to expand the data display. By clicking on the “Edit” button you can also configure the device or view detailed data (see chapter 4.1, point F).
F: Search: Clicking on the search button brings up an interface with options to filter the list of devices.
H: Search Methods: In the search pop-up dialog you can choose which method you want to use to search the list.
- QR Code – The integrated camera allows you to scan the device’s identification code.
- NFC – Using the NFC interface, you can scan the device’s identification code (see section 4.2).
- External input – Enter the device identification code using an external scanner or manual entry (see section 4.2).
